In this project, my goal was to portray a stressed out college student that over dosed on pain killers. I chose this idea because going to a university, I hear a lot of people talking about how stressed and tired school makes them. Many students are expected to perform good in school, which puts a tremendous amount of pressure on them. But what really motivated me to do this project was a student that I sat next to in the library one day. I sat next to a young man and I over heard the conversation he was having with his friend (I wasn’t trying to be nosy but he was talking so loud, I had no choice but to listen to him). He was talking about how stressed school made him and how he took pain killers on his free time to make him feel “better”. This was very eye opening to me and I felt like it was something that others should be aware of. Despite the death part of this, I had fun with this project. I usually don’t like when others take pictures of me, but I didn’t mind it this time. To be honest, I wasn’t too happy with how the pictures came out. I wish I had more time to make the scene look more realistic and detailed, but despite this, I’m content with the results of this project!
